SCOPE
AEP – Associação Empresarial de Portugal, hereinafter referred to as “AEP”, is a private non-profit association that respects the privacy of its interlocutors. The AEP’s Privacy Policy is intended to make known who we are, the purposes for which we collect personal data, how we handle it, with whom we share it, how long we keep it, as well as ways to contact us and exercise your rights.
By accepting the AEP Privacy Policy you give your consent to the processing of personal data for the purposes set out below. Therefore, we advise you to read this Privacy Policy and the Terms and Conditions carefully.

AEP is committed to handling your personal data in a lawful and transparent manner.

The AEP collects personal data in the following situations:

1.4. Participation in Events, formative and informative, organized or supported by AEP;
1.5. Participation in Projects, financed by public funds or not, promoted or supported by AEP;
1.6. Recruitment processes;
1.7. Provided, in each case, that our interest is in accordance with applicable law and your rights.
2. Has obtained the data subject’s express consent, in particular to:
2.1. Sending information about the actions promoted or supported by AEP;

If you are under 16 years of age please do not provide us with your personal data unless you have your parent’s or guardian’s permission to do so.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA THE APE COLLECTS AND SHARES
When you fill out the forms on our website and/or participate in our Events and Projects, the personal data provided – such as your name, professional email, tax identification number, professional telephone number or address – are collected by AEP and processed in order to respond to the requests made.
Within the scope of its mission and as a public utility entity, AEP collects and archives video, sound and photographic images in pursuit of its legitimate interest, namely to publicize and disseminate the public activities it promotes among the business community through the means of dissemination it has at its disposal.
AEP collects and archives video, sound, and photographic images also for the management of financed projects, within the scope of which it carries out some of its business support activities.
When you participate in Events or Projects organized and/or supported by AEP, some of your personal data may be shared with co-organizing entities, sponsoring entities and financing entities, namely entities managing public funding.
When you participate in training and online events your registration data such as name, profile picture, email, among others, may be visible to other participants. We ask that you consult the Privacy Policies of the platforms we use and make the necessary settings.
When you participate in AEP’s Recruitment Processes your information will be provided to AEP through an online application and the application data will be stored in computerized files and shared internally with all those involved in the Process. The personal data processed will be those contained in the application form and Curriculum Vitae, as well as any personal data that you spontaneously decide to transmit.
If you fill a vacancy, your data will be transferred to the Human Resources management systems, where it will be stored as employee data and processed accordingly.
They may also be shared with companies of the AEP Group within the scope of the Group’s activities.
In all cases, we require that you have in place appropriate security measures to protect your personal data.
AEP has in force an Internal Regulation on Privacy and Confidentiality which obliges all employees to maintain confidentiality, namely all information, documents, projects and technological tools with which they come into contact during their professional career at the service of AEP.

The AEP will keep and store the data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they were collected and processed, except in cases where there is a specific legal requirement. The holder may exercise, at any time, the rights of access, rectification, erasure, limitation of processing or opposition and, where applicable, the right of portability.

The AEP strives to ensure the security and confidentiality of personal data collected. However, the transmission of information via the Internet is not completely secure and, as such, we cannot completely guarantee the security of information transmitted via our Web site or via any computer application made available over the Internet.
AEP has been adopting various security measures in order to protect personal data from any illicit use, as well as requiring its partners to adopt security measures equivalent to those it practices. We do not sell or otherwise make your information commercially available to any third party.
AEP is committed to keeping your information confidential in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable legislation.
CHANGE TO THE SECURITY POLICY
AEP may at any time update this Privacy Policy.
Should AEP decide to change this Privacy Policy, the new version will replace this one and will be effective as of the date of its publication on this Website. The relationship between AEP and all users will now be governed by the new published version.
